Checking Soil & Crop Nitrogen Status

The combination of heavy rainfall events and cool weather during spring and early summer this year, have had a serious impact on soil nitrogen availability. Many growers and gardeners are seeing poor color and sluggish growth in their crops, especially in areas with poor or marginal soil drainage. A check on nitrogen fertility can diagnose this most common problem we see each year and make corrective recommendations where needed A Comprehensive Soil Test, which includes a direct measurement of nitrogen availability, is one of the most effective ways to fine tune nitrogen fertility, enhance productivity, and avoid hidden deficiencies during the growing season. We also provide, for commercial growers, other Crop Nitrogen Management services such as Pre-Sidedress Nitrate Testing for Corn and Potato Petiole Nitrate Testing.
